International writing camp, Austria

An invited writing camp in Austria, organised by Siegfried “Sigge” Walch of Natural Songs, alongside hit songwriter Jeff Franzel, Valerie Broussard — later signed to RCA, with collaborations for Kygo and Illenium and placements in Luther and Riverdale — Wrecia Ford, and Ann Slangar of Sugar House Publishing. Erik co-wrote “Please Don’t” with Franzel and Ford during the camp, and it began a production relationship with Ford that ran for several years afterwards.

Song Castle, Finland

Music Finland's international co-write camp — known in Finnish as Biisilinna, held at Kallio-Kuninkala in Järvenpää and described by its organisers as one of the most respected song camps in the Nordic region. Finnish writers are selected by application; international participants attend by invitation.

Mistasy — Dance meets Acoustic, Echoes of Memories

A sustained writing and production partnership with Mistasy (Simon Michaelis), a Hamburg-based producer and label owner with remix credits for Zedd & Maren Morris and 2Pac. Joint EPs and singles including “Dance meets Acoustic,” “Echoes of Memories,” “What A Lovely Thing” and “Will I See You Again.”

For an application to Sony Music, a full self-directed artist-marketing campaign built in place of a cover letter: branded flyer, landing page, email sequence, a dedicated Instagram account, a custom-written and produced song with a full music video, a case study and an article.
